Student sheds light on the dangers of kerosene
A new nonprofit founded by a Miami Dade College student aims to provide solar-powered lights in rural India to combat kerosene illness. Ximena Prugue, 20, developed her ambitious initiative, Giving the Green Light, with a vision to supply 10,000 solar lights to poor Indian villages by June of 2011.
